Dear colleagues,
On behalf of the Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology (APSC), it is my great pleasure and honor to invite you to the 17th Asian Pacific Congress of Cardiology (17th APCC) to be held from May 20-23, 2009 in the beautiful and historic city of Kyoto, Japan.
Cardiovascular disease is a global issue, with its risk factors increasing in daily life in Japan and even in developing countries. Physicians in every country must share their state-of-the-art knowledge of diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive methods to empower everyone worldwide to fight against cardiovascular disease. I sincerely hope that this Congress will serve to disseminate such information throughout Asia and the world.
Kyoto was the capital of Japan more than 1,200 years ago. Today, 17 sites in and around the city have been designated World Cultural Heritages. Kyoto, with its historic and cultural offerings, provides the perfect setting for our Congress. Japan's natural beauty is at its most spectacular in the soft freshness of May. The modern conference center is nestled in a serene, idyllic setting beside a peaceful lake. I believe you will leave the 17th APCC refreshed by Kyoto and all it has to offer and invigorated by new insights and information about cardiovascular disease to bring home and apply to your clinical practice and research.
I look forward to your participation and contribution to our Congress. |
